Has anyone called Low-Budget Repairs? Simplicity Games presents the final trailer for their quirky renovation sim ahead of the release on August 13th!
Recalibrate the bubbles in your spirit levels and iron the very best flannel! Simplicity Games has released a new trailer for Low-Budget Repairs, confirming that the game is ready for its launch, as announced for 13 August this year.
Simplicity Games, the team behind games such as Cheap Car Repair released earlier this year, has just dropped the launch trailer for their latest title – Low-Budget Repairs. The apartment blocks straight out of 1990s Poland will open their creaking doors in just under a week – on August 13th. Just like the studio’s previous project, the game is published by PlayWay.
Are you planning a renovation? Learn the basics of this craft from the new trailer:
Low-Budget Repairs features the hallmarks of Simplicity Games’ titles: a humorous take on the simulation genre and a profession that, thanks to years of successes (and disasters) in home renovation, has become the subject of legends… And these will certainly live up to expectations in this case.
Players will take on the role of Maciek, who is learning the ins and outs of renovation under the half-closed eye of Mr Zbyszek – a true master who will never lift a finger without a little bit of ‘fuel’ and the right attitude. In fact, if he does lift a finger, it’s likely to be with a heavy heart. He’ll have no shortage of apprentices to train, though, as this July the game surpassed one million wishlists on Steam!
In Low-Budget Repairs your job is to renovate apartments which – with all due respect to grandmothers – could most accurately be described as ‘granny-style’. The ultimate goal here, however, will not be the quality of the work, but profit, often earned through routine execution of classic botched repairs.
The tiles don’t always have to be perfectly aligned, if you have any remaining screws in the set it means they weren’t needed, and fuses sometimes simply pop… Just like in real life! And remember, the warranty expires once you cross the doorstep.
But! Before you dilute paint, take a quick look at the game’s key features:
🧱 Do it right? Only at home – as well as providing services for clients, Low-Budget Repairs lets you renovate your own flat. Here, a keen eye and a truly professional approach are definitely recommended.
🧱 Travel back to a Polish neighbourhood from the 1990s – crumbling walls, that characteristic dampness in the basement and the smell of panelling… It might be crooked, but at least it’s cheap!
🧱 A reliable company or a typical clumsy worker – it’s up to you to decide whether the owners will go to bed tonight without electricity… or water, or whether this time they’ve found a real craftsman.
🧱 Music to your ears – what would a renovation be without a cracking, indestructible radio and timeless disco-polo? Glue those tiles to the beat of this siaba-daba-da.
Low-Budget Repairs launches on PC on 13 August 2026. In the meantime, enjoy the official release trailer and add the game to your wishlist so you don’t miss a thing.
