Another Angle Games is a new studio working on a tactical RPG set in an alternative version of 19th-century Japan. It may sound like an ambitious choice for a debut project, but that’s what raising the bar is all about. We knew finding a publisher for a studio without a portfolio – especially one tackling such a demanding genre – wouldn’t be easy. But after the very first meeting, all doubts disappeared. The passion, energy, and confidence with which the team spoke about their project were simply unbeatable!

Next, we built a list of potential partners and started reaching out, pitching the game to different publishers. After many meetings, conversations, and discussions, we finally reached Owlcat Games, who, from the very first message, knew that Shadow of the Road was a perfect fit for them. The creators of Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader immediately came to the table, and ultimately became the publisher of Another Angle’s debut title.</span>
